We introduced Anima Referrals on 20 August 2026 as an upcoming product, with an invitation for practices to join the pilot. It is designed to reduce the administrative work between a consultation and a referral.

From consultation to referral
The announced workflow uses the Scribe consultation and patient record to draft Advice & Guidance and referrals, drawing on national and local guidelines. It is designed to help clinicians prepare the information and send it to the appropriate service.
One worklist for follow-up work
Our September update describes a shared worklist for referrals, documents and appointments, with Advice & Guidance handled in the same place. Referrals can be sent to e-RS and saved to the electronic health record.
The aim is to reduce time spent drafting and checking referrals while keeping the practice’s oversight of what has been sent.
