Accessibility Statement: Anima NHS App Integration

Anima Health is committed to ensuring digital inclusion for all users. This accessibility statement applies specifically to the Anima request submission flows integrated within the NHS App.

Compliance Status

The Anima NHS App integration is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard. Following a comprehensive audit in December 2025, we have worked to ensure that all identified issues were resolved and verified.

How Accessible is This Integration?

We want as many people as possible to be able to use Anima within the NHS App. Based on our latest technical evaluation, users should be able to:

  • Navigate via Screen Reader: The interface is tested for compatibility with NVDA and VoiceOver.

  • Resize Text: Users can scale text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

  • Keyboard-Only Navigation: Interactive elements and components receive focus in a logical order that preserves operability.

  • Accessible Inputs: Technical attributes for input fields, such as those used for Postcodes or Date of Birth, are optimized to correctly identify their purpose.

  • Visual Clarity: The integration supports robust non-text contrast and ensures that focus indicators remain visible and distinct.
